Joseph Sojourner

"Growing up in Akron, Ohio, I would have never dreamed that my life would look the way it does today. I was the typical quiet kid who found his freedom in writing... I often wrote about my dream of moving to New York or Los Angeles for a fresh start. I began experimenting with acting, script writing, and hip hop in college and was invited to Atlanta for a rap show after a summer of quasi-successful performances throughout Ohio. This was big deal! The big city was finally calling! I later realized it wasn’t, but maybe God was. Maybe God was leading me to Atlanta. I packed up and decided it was now or never... I discovered that I found deep fulfillment in helping people. I was later asked to work at my church and I accepted. It was there that I found that creating is best when paired with great purpose... I now create to connect people to purpose through messages, music, media, and anything else I can get my hands on. I may have been born Sojourner, but I’ve learned that everyone can ‘Journey Well’."
